Our mission is “to improve the quality of life for children with life threatening and chronic diseases and their families.” We help them by paying emergency expenses such as utility bills, transportation to/from appointments, arts and sports programs for siblings of ill children, air purifiers for immunosuppressed children, and countless other necessities. We help them directly and through our partners, including the following:
Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer Center (Miller Children’s Hospital, Long Beach, CA) — JJCCC is an inpatient, outpatient, home health and community outreach program. Its philosophy of compassionate care is characterized by its approach to meet the total needs of patient and family, including medical, emotional, scholastic, social and spiritual needs. Because of our grant, families facing financial challenges receive funds for emergency needs.
Trinity KidsCare Hospice (Torrance, CA) — Trinity is the only dedicated pediatric hospice program in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Because of the grant we have made, families facing the most difficult challenges imaginable will now receive funds for what Trinity calls the “necessities of life.”
